Heavy metal and CN wastewater treatment
Sewage and wastewater contain heavy metals, and even a small amount of heavy metal may significantly affect public health. The impact of heavy metal has been demonstrated in the incidents of itai-itai disease and Minamata disease which occurred in Japan. Therefore, it is required to develop an appropriate treatment measure, and we design and install heavy metal treatment facilities in the most economical and stable way based on our existing technologies and expertise.

Process Description

Oxidation reaction tank

  • It is harmless to convert CN-containing wastewater into CO2 and NW through oxidation dissolution of CN under alkaline conditions.

Reduction reaction tank

  • Chrome in wastewater exists in a trivalent or hexavalent chrome shape. As hexavalent chrome is highly toxic and can’t be deposited, hexavalent chrome needs to be reverted to trivalent chrome in an acidic condition first, and then condensed and deposited as a hydroxide to be removed.

Heavy metal reaction tank

  • Removes heavy metals in wastewater such as Zn, Cu, As, or Pb by condensing them with an alkaline agent and coagulant.

Applications

Plating industry, electronic industry, etc.
